Amazon Scraper API vs Proxy: Choose a Product Data Source
Compare seller APIs, licensed Amazon product data and proxy page checks by record, access scope and reuse rights.
Read guideChoose the right anti-detect browser proxy guide, map the shared verification steps, and keep account access separate from the network route.

An anti-detect browser proxy setup has three separate owners: the browser-tool workspace controls team access, the profile holds browser configuration and state, and the proxy endpoint supplies a network route. Choose the matching setup guide below, then verify the exit route and the authorized target result separately.
Use the guide for the browser tool already selected by the team. Each page covers product-specific fields and steps; this hub maps the shared decision and verification points, not a tested compatibility list.
| Browser tool | Choose its guide for | Setup guide |
|---|---|---|
| GoLogin | Desktop profile proxy fields, imports, or the difference between profile settings and Cloud Browser | GoLogin proxy setup |
| Multilogin | Profile proxy settings and tool-specific options | Multilogin proxy setup |
| DICloak | DICloak profile and proxy procedure | DICloak proxy setup |
| Ghost Browser | Workspace and identity configuration | Ghost Browser proxy setup |
| MoreLogin | MoreLogin profile and proxy procedure | MoreLogin proxy setup |
| AdsPower | AdsPower profile and proxy procedure | AdsPower proxy setup |
The shared connection record stays useful when a campaign moves between operators or tools. Keep the vendor-specific setup in its guide, and carry only the non-secret route label, protocol, host label, port, auth method, approved workflow, and expected checks into the handoff.
A browser-tool account or workspace decides who may see or operate profiles. A profile groups browser settings and site state for a workflow. A proxy endpoint supplies the route used by that profile. These boundaries matter because sharing a profile is not the same as sharing workspace ownership or proxy credentials.
GoLogin documents workspace-wide access, selected-folder access, and individual-profile sharing as separate options, with roles for running or editing profiles. See its workspace and folder access guide and profile-sharing options. Multilogin documents owner, manager, operator, and starter roles in its workspace permission reference. Check the selected product's current permission screen and assign only the scope needed for the work.
| Object | What it controls | Handoff record |
|---|---|---|
| Tool account or workspace | Team membership and permissions in that product | Workspace owner, assigned operator, access scope, and removal owner |
| Browser profile | Browser configuration and site state used by the authorized workflow | Profile label, client or campaign owner, intended operator, and change history |
| Proxy route | Endpoint protocol, host, port, authentication method, and requested exit | Non-secret route ID, expected geography if required, and approved secret-storage location |
| Target account | Access to the destination service and its own policies | Named business owner and authorized use; keep its login separate from proxy credentials |
This is an operating model, not a claim that every product stores profile data or exposes permissions in the same way. Confirm the tool's profile-sharing, export, and credential behavior before transferring a profile or inviting a contractor. Do not hand off a shared login when the product supports individual access.
For GoLogin's API-managed route, the proxy resource reference documents host, port, username, password, and associated profiles as separate resource fields. Its Cloud Browser scraping guide separates remote browser connection and execution from profile and proxy configuration. Those are GoLogin-specific boundaries, not a universal interface.
Warning: Proxy credentials can expose the account or route if copied into a shared profile, export, or screenshot. Use a test profile first and the tool’s protected credential fields; in production, limit access and revoke or rotate any exposed credentials before resuming work.
Before starting a profile, record the proxy protocol, endpoint host, port, authentication method, route label, intended target, and expected result. Store any username or password only in the browser tool's supported protected field or approved secret store. Never put secrets in screenshots, campaign spreadsheets, profile names, shared notes, or exports.
HTTP (Hypertext Transfer Protocol), HTTPS (HTTP over Transport Layer Security (TLS)), and SOCKS version 5 identify different proxy schemes. Chromium's documentation states that Chrome does not support SOCKS5 authentication through its SOCKS5 proxy implementation, and that credentials embedded in manual proxy settings are not used as proxy credentials. A profile product can provide a different supported connection path, so verify the exact product and endpoint combination before assigning it.
For an HTTP or HTTPS reachability check outside the browser, use the curl proxy guide. That check can confirm only the request made by curl; it does not verify the browser profile's saved settings, site state, or target output.
Run the check in the profile and account authorized for the task. Use an Internet Protocol (IP) endpoint operated by the team or explicitly trusted, then visit the approved target and validate a field that matters to the workflow.
A green product indicator means that product's check passed at that moment. It does not prove that the target returned the expected content or that the account will stay signed in. When the request stops at proxy authentication, use the HTTP 407 diagnostic guide to isolate that phase.
| First failure | Evidence to capture | Owner for the next check |
|---|---|---|
| Profile setup | Product, profile label, protocol, field validation message | Browser-tool operator |
| Proxy connection | Host label, port, connection result, timestamp | Network or proxy account owner |
| Proxy authentication | Whether the response is a 407 proxy challenge, plus auth method name | Proxy account owner; do not share the password |
| Browser or TLS | Browser version, final URL, redacted error text, certificate phase | Browser-tool operator |
| Target response | 401, 403, 429, redirect, response category, target policy | Target account owner |
| Content check | Expected field and observed validation result, with private values removed | Campaign or data owner |
| Session continuity | Profile and route labels, timestamps, and whether the same profile was used | Browser-tool operator and workflow owner |
A proxy or fingerprint setting does not grant permission to access a destination. Use the setup only for accounts and workflows the team owns or is authorized to operate, follow the target's terms and limits, and retain redacted evidence.
Scale your workflows with the tools you already use. Rotating or sticky sessions up to 72 hours.
