# Privacy policy

LAST UPDATED OCTOBER 11, 2026

This policy describes the information collected at proxylane.dev. For questions, access or deletion requests, contact [hello@proxylane.dev](mailto:hello@proxylane.dev) .

## What we collect

When you create an account, we store your name, email address, a password hash, registration time, selected interest and plan, and your acceptance of the terms. We never store a readable copy of your password. After registration, we ask for your team size and main reason for using ProxyLane. If you select Other, we also store the workflow description you provide.

For each HTML page request, our first-party analytics record the page and referring URL, attribution tags, public IP address and country, browser and operating-system name and version, device class, language, request protocol and a limited set of technical request headers. Credentials, cookies, authorization headers, security tokens and sensitive URL parameters are excluded or redacted.

When JavaScript runs, it adds language and timezone, screen and viewport size, display preferences, browser cookie and storage capabilities, online status, limited hardware capacity, network-quality hints and page-performance measurements. These fields may be absent when a browser does not support or blocks them. We do not use canvas, audio, fonts, plugins, battery data or WebGL hardware to fingerprint you. We do not sell this information.

## Website analytics

We use Google Analytics to measure visits to public pages and referring websites. Google receives page views, browser and device information, and cookie-based identifiers. We send recognized campaign parameters with page URLs and the referring page URL when the browser supplies it. The Google tag also runs on the registration page, but it is not loaded on sign-in, password-reset or account pages. When you create an account or a payment is confirmed, our server sends Google Analytics a sign-up or purchase event linked to your Google Analytics cookie identifier, with the selected package, order value and order reference. We do not send your name, email address or payment details to Google. Google signals are disabled. Advertising personalization is enabled, so Google may use this measurement to build advertising audiences and show you ProxyLane ads on other sites. You can block this measurement with your browser settings or the [Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on](https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout) .

## Advertising measurement

We use the Google Ads tag on public pages to measure visits from our ads. Visiting the homepage sends a page-view conversion event to Google Ads; this does not represent a registration or purchase. Google may use cookies and ad-click identifiers to attribute visits to ads. Sign-ups and purchases reported to Google Analytics are shared with our linked Google Ads account to measure ad results. Advertising personalization is enabled for remarketing; you can turn off personalized ads in your [Google My Ad Center](https://myadcenter.google.com/) settings. We do not send names or email addresses for enhanced conversions. The tag runs on public pages and the registration page, but not on sign-in, password-reset or account pages.

## Free traffic offers

To prevent repeated claims, we use an encrypted, HTTP-only browser cookie that lasts for one year and store keyed hashes of your network address and browser identifier with each free traffic claim. IPv6 addresses are grouped by their /64 network. Contact hello@proxylane.dev if a shared network prevents your claim.

## Language selection

On your first visit to a public page, we choose between English and Simplified Chinese from your browser language and the country of your network address. The country lookup runs on our servers against a local database, so your address is not sent to another service. We keep the detected language in your session. When you pick a language, we remember it in a cookie for one year and, if you are signed in, in your account. This product includes GeoLite Data created by MaxMind, available from [https://www.maxmind.com](https://www.maxmind.com) .

## Why we use it

We use this information to maintain your account, respond to requests, contact you about ProxyLane access, prevent abuse and understand site reliability and which pages lead to interest. Creating an account does not subscribe you to unrelated marketing. When you create an account, we send your email address and first name to Loops to deliver a three-part proxy setup guide. You can unsubscribe using the link in any of these emails, and we will not resubscribe you.

## Who processes it

Our hosting provider stores application data. Cloudflare provides DNS and web infrastructure. Google processes the website analytics and advertising measurement described above. Our email provider handles account messages such as password resets. A private Telegram bot sends our team a signup notification containing your name, email, selected interest and traffic attribution. Completing the onboarding form sends a second notification with your team size and main reason, including your description if you select Other. Passwords and password-reset links are never included in Telegram notifications.

These providers may process data outside your country. Access to registration information is limited to the team managing this project and providers needed to operate it.

## Cookies and retention

Essential cookies maintain login sessions and protect forms. Remember-me cookies persist when you select that option. Page-view and visit metadata, including IP and technical browser data, is retained for up to 90 days. The first available attribution and technical metadata attached to an account remains until the account is deleted. Google Analytics uses first-party analytics cookies, and Google Ads may use cookies for advertising measurement. Security and infrastructure logs may also contain IP addresses and technical request details; we do not add them to signup notifications.

You can block cookies in your browser, but account login and forms may stop working. HTML page views are recorded by the server even when JavaScript is blocked; JavaScript-only capabilities and performance details are not.

## Your choices

Contact us from your account email to request a copy, correction or deletion of your information, or to stop access-related messages. We may verify your identity before acting. We will also remove associated signup notifications we control; infrastructure backups expire on their normal retention schedule.

## Changes

We may update this policy as the project develops. Material changes will be communicated before new uses of account information are introduced.

## Session replay analytics

We use Microsoft Clarity on public pages and registration to understand clicks, scrolling and page navigation through privacy-masked session replays and heatmaps. Clarity receives browser interaction and page structure data. It is not a screen video recorder, and input values are masked by default.

Clarity runs in cookieless mode: analytics and advertising storage are denied, so it does not use cookies to connect visits. We send a random internal visit identifier—not a name or email—as a custom identifier so separate recordings can be associated with the same first-party visit and, if that visitor registers, their account. Recording links and metadata follow the same 90-day analytics retention period as visits. Microsoft may process interaction data for ProxyLane. Without cookie consent, Clarity treats each page view as a separate session, and session replay and other features may be limited. Clarity is not loaded on sign-in, password-reset, dashboard or account pages.
