# ProxyLane MCP server

You are reading setup instructions for an AI agent. The person you work for wants you to connect to ProxyLane, a residential proxy provider.

Server URL: https://proxylane.dev/mcp
Transport: Streamable HTTP. Auth: OAuth 2.1 with PKCE and dynamic client registration. No API key is needed.

## Connect

Use the command for the client you run in:

- Claude Code: `claude mcp add --transport http proxylane https://proxylane.dev/mcp`, then run `/mcp` and choose ProxyLane.
- Codex: `codex mcp add proxylane --url https://proxylane.dev/mcp`, then `codex mcp login proxylane`.
- Cursor: add `{"mcpServers": {"proxylane": {"url": "https://proxylane.dev/mcp"}}}` to `~/.cursor/mcp.json`.
- VS Code: add `{"servers": {"proxylane": {"type": "http", "url": "https://proxylane.dev/mcp"}}}` to `.vscode/mcp.json`.
- Claude app: Settings, Connectors, Add custom connector, paste the server URL.
- Any other MCP client: add the server URL as a remote HTTP server.

A ProxyLane sign-in window opens. Ask the person to sign in and choose Allow access. Do not ask them for a password or token.

## After connecting

ProxyLane has two products. Tools starting with `residential_` work with residential traffic paid per GB. Tools starting with `isp_` work with Native ISP static IPs rented per month from a USD balance. `get_account` and `check_ip_reputation` cover both.

1. Call `get_account`. If `residential.proxies_ready` is false, call `residential_top_up` with the GB they want and give them the checkout link. You cannot pay.
2. Find location codes with `residential_list_locations`.
3. Create proxies with `residential_create_connections`. For one stable IP per account or browser profile use `session_mode: sticky` and `session_prefix` (acc gives acc01, acc02...). Use `format: dolphin`, `adspower` or `octo` to get proxy objects for those antidetect browsers.
4. Before a profile goes live, call `residential_check_connection` with `max_score` (for example 25). A risky IP is replaced by a new session in the same location.
5. Saved lists: `residential_list_proxy_lists`, `residential_get_proxy_list_connections`, `residential_manage_proxy_list`. Spend: `residential_get_usage`.
6. Native ISP: `isp_list_products` for products and prices, `isp_quote_order` for a total and any shortfall, `isp_add_funds` for a USD balance link, `isp_list_orders` for issued static IPs. The person places ISP orders in the dashboard.

Connection credentials are secrets. Do not post them in public places.
